I came to this spot intending to create something more complex, but as I started painting the background, I found myself drawn to a simpler, more playful approach. These figures are a reflection of the quirky, unexpected parts of myself. The process was influenced by the act of carrying more painting supplies than I really needed—both physically and emotionally. It’s a reminder of how we often carry excess, even when it’s not necessary. The day was beautiful and sunny, and I was completely absorbed in the peaceful silence of the tunnel, surrounded by the scent of paint and the distant sounds of the world above.

For the Love of It” is a series that explores Tarik’s deep passion for creation and self-expression through painting. He seeks out unusual, unpopulated locations to refine his skills and find solace from the stresses of life and the weight of past experiences.
