for the love of it (vol.12)
For the Love of It” is a series that explores Tarik’s deep passion for creation and self-expression through painting. He seeks out unusual, unpopulated locations to refine his skills and find solace from the stresses of life and the weight of past experiences. This process not only serves as a therapeutic escape but also rekindles his connection to the stories he aims to tell through his art. When his creative space feels overwhelming, these quiet spots become his sanctuary, allowing him to rediscover the joy of painting and the narratives woven into each piece.

Description:
This painting, created at one of two legal walls in Brisbane, captures the fleeting beauty of nature’s simple moments. After rushing from one location to the next, I found myself immersed in the tranquility of this piece before heading to the Titanic exhibition at Queen Street Mall. Flowers, for me, are a source of deep beauty and happiness, and this artwork is an expression of that vibrant energy. Through the blooms, I channel a more sensitive side of my emotions, using colour and form to convey the feelings and experiences that shape my creative journey. The bursts of beauty in each stroke serve as a reminder to pause and appreciate life’s delicate wonders.
